AI and You
AI has arrived in your phone, your inbox and your family's evening phone calls, and most of what you hear about it is either hype or dread. This course gives you the ground truth in plain language: what these tools actually are, why they are changing so fast, how they produce an answer, what that means for your work, and how to protect the people you love from the new scams. Five lessons, each one built around a story you will remember and a decision you will make.
Choose your variation
After this course you can
- Explain what an AI assistant does when it answers you, and why it is sometimes wrong while sounding certain.
- Judge an AI news story by where the technology is on its curve, rather than by the announcement.
- Decide which of your tasks AI should help with and which stay yours, and notice when that line moves.
- Recognise a voice-clone call, a fake security warning and a romance scam, and stop them with a family code word and a short check.
- Know what never to type into a chat window, and which privacy settings to find in the tools you use.
